The Verb Garden is actively involved in the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Donna Ambler was a Director on the Chamber Board during 2009 and 2010, while also serving as Media Officer and Chair of the Rhino Awards organising committee.

As a part of our commitment to the local community, The Verb Garden has been a sponsor of Dubbo's Rhino Outstanding Business Awards since 2009. These awards are  organised by the Chamber of Commerce to recognise business excellence and are the biggest event of their kind in regional NSW.

Sport is another way to see words turned into action. The Verb Garden sponsors SASS Junior Soccer Club in Dubbo. Donna Ambler is also club registrar and has coached The Verb Garden SASS Astronauts for the past three years. The Verb Garden worked with Terry Wilcher Designs to develop the SASS website.
