I’m sitting at the hairdresser’s and wanted to do something more worthwhile with my time than read trashy magazines, but it appears I’m not overwhelmed with inspiration today. So my verb of the week is cut. Women’s Day or TV Week may have been far more inspirational after all!
Short words sometimes have that sharp edge to them and cut fits that bill – it’s harsh and uncomplicated. The Free Dictionary’s definition (yes, I googled while sitting in the chair with a cape on!) of cut as a verb is:

I came across a great network for young women professionals this week. While I was inspired, I was also disappointed that I no longer classify as "young" - and by quite a bit! However, that's a whole different issue.
The group is called Little Girl Big Dream Association - a network of young women who share professional passion and ambition, supported by a framework of empowerment in the pursuit of dreams.
